BRITISH COUNCIL «ACTIVE CITIZENS»

The Objective: To promote social change and sustainable development by creating and developing a network of young leaders who are driving reforms in their communities by providing knowledge and skills to build relationships based on equality, equal opportunities, respect for diversity and conflict-free dialogue.

Target group: Youth, youth organisations, civil society activists, and high school students.

The project plans to:

Conducting training:

• Conducting three trainings (24-25 November, 29-30 November, 6-7 December).
• About 80 people (high school students, teachers, civil society activists) are expected to participate.
• The training was organised to find ways to solve current social problems.

Project submission and selection:

• Submission of projects after the training.
• Hold a competition to select the best projects.

Providing financial support:

• The best projects will receive financial support for implementation.
• Financial support for one project can reach up to UAH 10 thousand.
• Projects aimed at adapting to an active life (for example, for mothers coming out of maternity leave), creating a cultural centre (in the form of a bus-cafe), or improving living conditions in dormitories will be supported.
